Quanah Spence
College Pastor
Quanah (kwah-nah) has served with Calvary and The Well since February 2021. Born in Barstow, California, Quanah and his twin brother were adopted at the age of 10 and raised in Moundville, AL just south of Tuscaloosa. Quanah holds seminary degrees from both NOBTS and SEBTS. Quanah believes college campuses are some of the most strategic mission fields on earth; a place students from all over the world are discipled and then sent back out to share the gospel. He and his wife Anna Beth have been married since 2014.
Katie Holcomb
Associate Director
Katie has been through The Well as a student for four years (and counting), and has loved getting to do life with many students already. She spent some time on leadership team herself as a Brown House Leader, Outreach Intern and Ministry Coordinator Intern. Katie is currently finishing her degree in Secondary Education Science at UA and is from the great city of Hackleburg, Alabama. She is passionate about the Gospel being shared and God's glory being known among all peoples. Katie loves drinking Dr. Pepper, listening to Taylor Swift, and playing spikeball.
Pate Ward
Ministry Administrative Coordinator
Pate has served at The Well for four years as a student, upperclassmen life group leader and upperclassmen life group leader intern. He recently completed his undergraduate degree at UA in Religious Studies and is pursuing a masters in Biblical and Theological Studies at Western Seminary. Pate's goal is to empower The Well's staff and students to pursue the glory of God in all they do. He loves coffee, the outdoors, and rainy day reads!

Jared Shepard
Worship Pastor
Jared has served on staff with Calvary Tuscaloosa and The Well since August 2019. During his time in college, Jared was an active member at Calvary and The Well, along with the Million Dollar Band. Jared loves serving with college students because college functions as such a formative time in students' lives. Jared oversees worship services for both Calvary Tuscaloosa on Sundays and The Well on Wednesdays.

Ashley-Caroline Rice
Freshman Life Group Intern
Ashley-Caroline is a senior at UA majoring in PR with a minor in Management Communications. She is from Tuscaloosa, AL and loves that The Well is made up of a people on fire for the Lord and willing to boldly share the gospel. Her fun fact? She sang "Life is A Highway" on stage at a concert with Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump!

Cannon Riccio
Freshman Life Group Intern
Cannon is a senior at UA majoring in Operations Management. He is from Trussville, AL. What he loves most about The Well is how the focus of the ministry is completely Gospel-centered using scripture as the authority. Cannon finds encouragement from other believers to be life giving. His fun fact? He can ride a unicycle!

Lauren Wallace
Upperclassmen Life Group Intern
Lauren is a graduate student at UA majoring in Elementary Education. She hails from Pineville, LA. She loves how welcoming and kind the people at The Well are and believes you can truly feel love of Jesus through the ways others interact with you. Her fun fact? She's been skydiving!

Thomas Smitherman
Upperclassmen Life Group Intern
Thomas is a senior at UA double majoring in Finance and History. He is from Pelham, AL. Thomas loves that The Well emphasizes that the Gospel is not about us and our own personal happiness but about God receiving the glory He deserves. His fun fact? He was within 50 feet of the Greek Minister of Defense once!

Chloe Moore
Connections Intern
Chloe is a junior at UA majoring in Kinesiology. She is from Birmingham, AL and loves the community at The Well that is willing to meet her where she is and has loved and supported her in ways she never thought possible. Her fun fact? She was on The University of Alabama Colorguard!

Charlie Sexton
Connections Intern
Charlie is a senior at UA majoring in Aerospace Engineering. He is from Marietta, GA. What Charlie loves most about The Well is the community's love for Jesus and intentional discipleship making that propels the church to share the Gospel with all those around locally and globally. His fun fact? He is gluten free but not fun free.

Meg Talley
Outreach Intern
Meg is a senior at UA double majoring in Math and English. She is from Birmingham, AL. Meg loves that she's surrounded by a community of people at The Well who not only teach her what the gospel is, but also show by example how to live differently because of it. Her fun fact? She's only been in one other country, but been in three different continents!

Logan Robinette
Outreach Intern
Logan is a senior at UA majoring in Biology. He hails from Enterprise, Al (home of the famous Boll Weevil statue). Through The Well, the Lord has encouraged Logan to share the good news of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Logan loves that The Well emphasizes the importance of the Gospel in every aspect and enjoys serving in various ministry teams. His fun fact? He wants blue cotton candy ice cream as his last meal.

Reagan is a junior at UA majoring in Kinesiology. She hails from Dothan, AL. What she loves most about The Well is having a loving community of people that inspires her to chase harder after the Lord. Her fun fact? She and her 3 siblings are all named after presidents!

Ashley is a senior at UA majoring in Public Relations. She is from Jacksonville, AL. What Ashley loves most about The Well is the loving community of believers who encourage her to step out in faith and share the Gospel with others. Her fun fact? She's been on a road trip of the Pacific Northwest!
